We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2022, at the age of 76, James Alton Hester of Tifton, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Alton "Bud" Hester and Willie Mae Newell Hester. He is survived by: his wife Lynne Marchant Hester; his children, Meredith Purvis (Chris Moseley) and Jamie; his daughter-in-law Megan Hester of Tifton; his grandchildren, Christian, Mason, John, Kayla (Katie) and Landyn (Emersyn); his siblings, Donald Hester (Sue), Carolyn Kelly (Freddie), Brenda Gershon (Harold), Peggy Lindsey (Johnny) and Shirlene Goodrich; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara and Wayne Branch. He is also survived by Papa James loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
