She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Lee and Vera Eason Goodman; her husband Leonard V. Handy; the father of her children Buddy Ellis; her sons, Terry Ellis and Joey Ellis; her siblings, James Travis Goodman and Ruby Lee Stone; and her stepson Bo Handy.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Ellis, Mike Ellis (Kay) and Patricia Brooks (late Leonard V. Handy'); her sisters, Doris Blanchard and Dianne Giddens; her grandchildren, Adam Brooks (Brittany), Haley Vick (Carrie), Trent Ellis, Brandon Ellis (LeahAnn), Autumn Cole, Trey Cole, Joey Ellis, Kala Ellis, Alisha Nugent (Ricky), Shasta Johnson, Shanna Ellis, Jake Ellis, Joseph Ellis, Crystle Smith, Elaine Sands and Helen Nelson; and also Brenda Edwards (Vonn). She is also survived by her many great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.
