He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest R. Bishop and Martha Belle King Bishop; and his sister Amelia Bishop Dorsett. He is survived by: his children, Ernest R. Bishop, Jr. (Ernie) of TyTy and Natalie Elizabeth Bishop of Valdosta; his brother-in-law T. Howard Dorsett of Tifton; his niece Pam Lysett (Mark); and his nephew David Howard Dorsett of Alpharetta.
