He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Julian Wood, Sr. and Catherine Lucille Ball Wood; his siblings, Frances Mercer and Carl Julian Wood, Jr. of Enigma; and his grandson Joshua Cantrell.
He is survived by: his wife Scarlet Virginia Denny Wood of Tifton; his children, Dewayne Edward Wood of Austin, Jason Timothy (Shannon Wood) and Rebecca; his son-in-law Calvin Leach of Clemson; his siblings, Douglas Wood of Tifton, Steve Wood of Tifton, Paulette Blanchett of Alapaha, Ruth Wood of Tifton, Martha King of Tifton and Kathy Ford of Tifton; his grandchildren, Michael Wood, Kelsey Wood, Justin Wood, Lacie Leach and Cayla Leach; and his great grandchildren, Evan Wood, Autumn Wood and Adaline Wood.
