She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Lafayett and Ocie Dell Taylor Potts; her husband Joseph David Brooks, Sr.; and her siblings, Caunell Potts and Wayne Potts.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Anderson (John) of Meridian, MS., Joseph David Brooks, Jr. of Tifton and Marcie Spinks (Michael) of Tifton; her grandchildren, Casey Haarala (Ryan), Kristen McKinney (Andrew), John Anderson, Jr. (Kristin), Jen Chestnutt, Brooke Price (Brett) and Joseph Spinks (Karlee Dixon); her great grandchildren, Lily Anderson, Hamp Haarala, Foster Armstrong, Holt Haarala, Hudson Haarala, Anna Armstrong, Tristin Anderson, Gaston Anderson, Riley Price and Olivia Spinks; and her sisters, Melba Benoit (Harris) of Texas, Sandra Watson of Sylvester and June McDonald (Bo) of Sylvester. She is also survived by her friends and family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
