He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Leverett of Washington and Margaret Collins Leverett; his son Keith Pitts; his brother Charles (Linda Leverett); and his siblings-in-law, Edward Morris and Betsy Leverett.
He is survived by: his wife Melba Jeanette Bass Leverett of Tifton; his sons, Greg (Marie Pitts) of Tifton, Bruce Leverett of Tifton and Jim; his daughters-in-law, Joycie Pitts (David) of Ocilla and Paige Leverett of Orange Park, Florida; his daughters, Teresa (Eddie Donovan) and Veronica (Jimmy Conger); and his siblings, Jerry Leverett of Alamo, Florida and Mary Leverett Morris of Adel. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
