He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Samuel Reid Bowen and Cornelia Phillips Bowen of Tifton; and his daughter Lesley MacDonald. He is survived by: his wife Betty Bowen; his daughters, Heather Haskin (Scott) and Jacqueline Bruss (TJ); his grandchildren, Alex Elliott, Jordan Brannon (Jonathan), Dalton Elliott, Isabelle, Joseph, Levi, Patrick Haskin, Reagan, Brooks, Kennedy and Matthew Bruss; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Blake Brannon; his sister Beverly Moore of Fitzgerald, Georgia; his nephew Brent Merritt; and his niece Jodi Merritt.
