He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Valdez, Sr. and Hermila Barrera Valdez; and his brother Hector Valdez. He is survived by: his wife Frankie Walters Valdez; his children, Andrew Fountain (Kelley), Marianela Valdez Lerma (Alfredo) and Carlos Valdez III (Maria); his grandchildren, Kailey Fountain (Bryan Davis), Isabella Valdez, Sophia Valdez, Alessandra Lerma, Camila Lerma, Maria Urdaneta and Jose Urdaneta; his great grandchildren, Brody Shroyer and Jameson Davis; and his siblings, Mario Valdez (Rebecca), Armando Valdez (Lori), Belia Cantu (Fransisco), Elma Noyola and Mary Garcia. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
