She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Purvis, Sr. and Jessie Lue Baker Purvis; her husband Willis Henry Dowdy; and her siblings, Eddie Purvis, Jr., Cecil Auston Purvis, Gracie Mae Baker, Lillie Evelyn Webb, Hazel Irene Gregory and Lois Purvis.

She is survived by: her children, Ricky Dowdy of Tifton and Kathy Ann; her son-in-law Freddy Kearse of Morven; her grandson Jeremy Kearse of Morven; and her niece Jennifer Webb Davis.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial gifts may be made to a favorite charity.
