He was predeceased by: his parents, Ostell Askew and Gladys Raley Askew; and his brother Ray Askew. He is survived by: his wife Janice Johnston Askew; his children, Charles Swint, Augusta, Willard "Butch" Askew (Renee) and Jan Phelps (Steve) of Thomson; his brother Dr. Danny Askew (Lynda) of Gainesville; his grandchildren, Erin Pilgrim (Brice), Raley Askew and Connor Askew; and his great grandchild Harper Pilgrim.
