We are sad to announce that on March 18, 2018, at the age of 96, Velva D Darden (Thomson, Georgia), born in Forsyth, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent George Fredrick Dungan. She is survived by: her parent Lula Padgett; her children, Iris Zehner (Lloyd) of Monticello, George "Buddy" Darden (Frances) of Thomson, Dean Darden (Kathy) of Culloden, Madison Darden of Forsyth and Denise Vinson (Joel) of Forsyth; and her sister Alice James of Duluth. She is also survived by grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Meal on Wheels at First Baptist Church or to First Baptist Church of Forsyth, 95 West Morse Street, Forsyth, Ga 31029.
