It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Fountain of Thomson, Georgia, who passed away on November 21, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Fountain and Katie Mae Griffin; his stepmother Corrine Fountain; his wife Mae Fountain; and his siblings, Frank Brinkley and Betty Huff.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Jones (David) of Atlanta, GA., Michael Fountain of Warrenton, GA, James Myrick (Darnelle) of Warrenton, GA, David Wilburn (Elizabeth) of Warrenton, GA, Richard Fountain, Jr. (Marie) of Thomson, GA, Jimmy Wilburn of Sparta, GA and Travis Kitchens of Sandersville, GA; his siblings, Ruthie Reese (David) of Thomson, GA, Josie Mae Salad of Thomson, GA, Sarah Helen Moss of Thomson, GA, Jessie Felts (Debra) and Willie Felts; and his granddaughter Shaniece Gilbert. He is also survived by forty-seven grandchildren, sixty-eight great grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
