He is survived by: his wife Mary Quarles; his sons, Kevin Quarles (Sonya) of Dearing, Kirk Quarles (Sandy) of Warrenton and Robert Quarles of Pennsylvania; his stepson Thomas Waits of Thomson; and his siblings, Richard Quarles of Martinez, Cliatt Quarles of Dearing, Stanley Quarles of Detroit, Leon Quarles of Thomson, Jerry Quarles of Lincolnton and Moralle McKenzie of Lincolnton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
