With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Hobbs of Thomson, Georgia, born in Lexington, South Carolina, who passed away on October 22, 2020 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mildred Hobbs to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Shumpert and Ethel Shumpert; her husband Johnny Plamon Hobbs; her daughter Rose Mary Pinion; and her siblings, Raymond Shumpert and Retha Scurry.
She is survived by: her daughters, Alecia Stewart (Rocky) of Wadley, GA and Sheila Morey (Clyde) of Thomson, GA; and her grandchildren, Kara Morey, Nicholas Stewart (Melissa), Ashley Stewart Austin (Andrew), Taylor Morey Hobbs (Cory), Mallory Morey and Shelby Morey. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Per CDC requirements the family will be observing social distancing and masks are requested.
Per the family's request memorials may be made to the Gideon's International or to Zoar United Methodist Church.
