She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Carr and Margaret Jordan Carr; and her sister Margaret McCarty. She is survived by: her husband Dr. William "Bill" Jopling; her sons, David Thomas Jopling (Stacie) and William Miller Jopling, II; her grandchildren, Emmy Jopling and Blakely Jopling; her brothers-in-law, Johnny McCarty and John P. Jopling (Patsy); her nieces, Meg McCarty Smith (Eric) and Lollie Jopling Hagen (Barrett); and her nephew Patrick Jopling.
