With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Smith (Thomson, Georgia), born in Alexandria, Virginia, who passed away on November 2, 2018 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Valentine Smith (Jean) of Nashville. He is survived by: his parents, Dorothea Haycock Smith and Valentine Whitman Rathbone Smith; his wife Patsy; his children, Barrett Smith, Brent Smith (Elizabeth Smith) and Michelle Davenport (Andy Davenport); his grandchildren, John Smith III (Charlotte), Evans Smith, Adams Smith, Hadley Smith, Suzi Davenport and Scarlett Davenport; his great grandchild Alice Smith; and his brother Dorsey Smith (Charlene) of Oro Valley.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored with memorials made to Briarwood Academy, 4859 Thomson Highway, Warrenton, Georgia 30828.
