He is survived by: his wife Dwane Mobley Gunby; his sons, Robert Gunby (Tonya) of Stapleton, Calvin Gunby (Gail) of Augusta and Albert Gunby of Lincolnton; his grandchildren, Trilogy Gunby, Cody Gunby, Melina Gunby and Kimberly Gunby; and his sister-in-law Thelma Gunby of Thomson.
