The memory of JoAnne Hanson (Thomson, Georgia), who passed away on January 30, 2025 at the age of 75, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin William Parris, Sr. and Hazel Godowns Parris; her son Gerald Arthur "Artie" Price, Jr.; her husband Charles Thomas Hanson, Sr.; and her brothers, Marvin William Parris, Jr. and Kenneth Harley Parris.
She is survived by: her children, Candy Beggs (Keith), Tonya Morris (Gene) of Thomson, GA and Rodney Price (Karin) of Savannah, GA; her grandchildren, Jeri Lyn Richards (Will), Chase Beggs (Nicole), Chandler Price, Preston Price, Carrington Brooks (Payton) and Britlan Price; her great grandchildren, Bennett Beggs, Camden Richards, Murray Catherine Beggs, Violet Price, Collins Richards and Hawes Beggs; her sisters-in-law, Shari Parris and Pat Parris; and her nieces and nephews, Michael Parris, Shane Parris, Brooke Parris and Amber Richards.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (253 Jackson St, Thomson, GA 30824). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
