He was predeceased by: his parents, James Murphy and Bernadette Suzannah Murphy; his wife Nancy Murphy; and his sisters, Doris Ray and Maureen Elderkin.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Murphy (Tracie) and Patricia English (Roy); his sisters, Bernadette "Betsy" Tilling and Jacqueline Costello; and his grandchildren, Zachary English and Zavian English.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The National Rifle Association.
