She was predeceased by: her father Karl Watson; her husband Gherard Collins Stephens; her parent Frankie Inez Register Watson; and her grandchildren, Christa Stephens, Robyn Phillips and Chip Moss.

She is survived by: her children, Jerry Watson Stephens (Betty) of San Antonio, Joseph Franklin Stephens (Terry) of Myrtle Beach, James David Stephens (Elaine) of Thomson, Georgia, Glenn Paul Stephens (Karen) of Evans, Georgia, Inez Elizabeth "Beth" Chastain (Joe) of Universal City, Claire Stephens Albright (Tim) of Evans and Kathryn Stephens Jordan (Ken) of Hartwell, Georgia; her sister Karlyn Fiveash of Dawson, Georgia; and her grandchildren, Mallory Heffron, Kenneth Robinson, Christian Stephens, Lisa Haney, Kenneth Stephens, Jennifer Kamerad, Will Deloach, Scott Stephens, Paul Stephens, Michelle Wiggs, Ashley Newton and Jamie Watkins. She is also survived by 36 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
