She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Martin Hicks and Mozelle J. Hicks Blanchard; her husband James Edward Phelps, Sr.; and her son James Edward Phelps, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Thomas Martin Phelps (Donna) and Stephen Hicks Phelps (Jan); her granddaughters, Gaynie G. Arnold (Mike) and Erin E. Pilgrim (Brice); and her great grandchildren, Milton Arnold, Harper Pilgrim and Anna Brice Pilgrim.
The family request that memorials in her memory be made to the Vision Fund at the First Baptist Church in Thomson.
