With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene Gerlach Sr. of Thomson, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on October 30, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Ruth Edmunds Gerlach; his sister Gail Garrett (Billy); his sons, Gene Jr. (Julie), David (Kathy), Larry (Sally) and Glenn; his grandchildren, Geoffrey (Chasie), Allison, Beth, Chris (Ali), Ryan (Taylor), Sara, Doug, Amanda (Steve) and Dustin (Lindsey); and his great grandchildren, Ella, Eli, Edith, Payton and Preston.

Due to Covid-19 there will be no inside visitation.
