She was predeceased by: her parents, Jackson Robert Evans and Ethel Bedingfield Evans; her great grandchild Michael Sarber, III; and her siblings, Richard C. Evans, Roy J. Evans, Prentice Evans and Grace Ballard.
She is survived by: her husband Walter "Walt" Young; her daughters, Sherryll A. Herndon and Maria Ann Cook; her siblings, David A. Evans, James R. Evans, Ray Evans and Betty Edge; her grandchildren, Joey Sarber, Kaitlen Carlson, Kenneth Carlton Cook, III and Brandon Denton; and her great grandchildren, Landon Burnett, Laina Burnett, Aaron Denton, Luna Grace Cook, Braxton Denton and Avery Cook.
