She was predeceased by: her parents, Connie Johnson and Dema Richardson Johnson; and her son Alan Dowell. She is survived by: her husband Roger Dowell; her children, Tammy Webster (David), Larry Chambers (Jennifer) and Gary Chambers (Toni); and her sisters, Joyce Johnson Williams (Johnny), Doris Hobson (Frank), Carol Higgins (Dale) and Reba Wilmoth (Lucky). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Washington Heights Baptist Church.
