He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sterling Smith and Mozelle Owens Smith; and his siblings, Milton Hobbs, Monroe Smith and Carolyn Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Smith Shelton (Jeff) of Thomson; his grandson Tyler Shelton of Thomson; and his sisters, Laverne Nelson (Dave) of McCormick, S. C., Oda Mae Hernandez of Gibson and Jean Warner (Rob).
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westview Cemetery (512 Westview Dr, Thomson, GA 30824). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
