Betty Gilbert Rodgers Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Gilbert Rodgers of Thomson, Georgia, born in Honolulu, Hawaii, who passed away on January 5, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Malcolm Rodgers; her parents, Claude M. Gilbert and Jenny Brown Turner Gilbert; her granddaughter Jena Denise Rodgers; and her brothers, Marvin Gilbert, Jack Gilbert, Dinky Gilbert, Donald Gilbert and Tiny Gilbert.
She is survived by: her children, Richard M. Rodgers (Sharon) of Martinez, Charlie Rodgers (Beth) of Thomson, Jeff Rodgers (Camille) of Thomson, Mack Rodgers (Lynn) of Camak, Diane Edenfield of Dearing and Ginger R. Taylor (Rikki) of Thomson; and her sister Doni McEwan of Arizona. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Beggs Funeral Home (799 Cobbham Rd, Thomson, GA 30824). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel (799 Cobbham Rd, Thomson, GA 30824).
Memorials in her name may be made to Antioch Christian Church Building Fund.
