He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Buffington Cranford, Sr. and Leila Hutto Cantrell; and his siblings, Ellis Cranford, Jr. and Dorothy Young. He is survived by: his close friend Louise Stevenson of Warrenton; his children, Benji Cranford (Emmalee) of Thomson, Cary Cranford of Thomson and April Cranford Shirey (Gene) of Harlem; his siblings, Billy Cranford (Eileen) of Augusta, Betty Hendricks, Jewel Wilson of Thomson and Beth Cushman of Thomson; and his grandchildren, Shelbie Cranford, Canaan Cranford, Benjamin C. Cranford, III, J. P. Cranford, Sam Cranford, Luke Shirey and Jake Shirey.
