He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Gheesling and Ruth Thompson Gheesling; his son Jeff Gheesling; and his grandson Jax Gheesling. He is survived by: his son Alan Gheesling (Jennie) of Thomson; his sister Cornelia Courtney of Charlottesville, VA; and his grandchildren, Melissa Gheesling, Evan Gheesling, Ivey Gheesling and Ryan Gheesling.
