He is survived by: his wife Millie; his children, Jason Smith (Miriam) and Megan Cobb (Aaron); his grandchildren, Baylor Cobb and Windsor Smith; his brother-in-law Darryl Yearwood of Watkinsville, GA; and his friend Joseph.

Per CDC requirements, the family will be observing social distancing. Masks are requested and appreciated.

“Pete and I worked together at the VA. As matter of Pete was the reason I started at the VA. He knew I was a Vet and told me they were allowing Vets to receive credit for their military service. Pete and I worked the same shift some times and we became good friends. I am so sorry for your loss of this truly good man.”
