She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Thomas Pyles and Mary Alma Cofer Pyles; her children, Linda Faye Darby, Billy Ray Hartley and Barbara Sellers; and her sister Julie Harvell.
She is survived by: her spouse Dallas Carter; her children, Elizabeth McCranie of Houston and Johnny Morris of Thomasville; her siblings, Mable Beason (Clyde) of Thomasville, Ray Pyles (Carolyn) of Fort Valley and Shirley Thomas (Danny) of Thomasville; and her grandchildren, Chris McCranie, James McCranie, Timothy McCranie, Jesse Bazan, Jim Sellers and Trevor Sellers. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
