He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Frank Raiford and Clara Shepherd Raiford; his wife Mary Chase Berger of Thomasville; and his sister Nell Raiford Brannon of Carrollton. He is survived by: his sons, Richard Renz (Karen Raiford), Dr. David Shepherd (Lisa Raiford) and Dr. William Postell (Kimberly Raiford); his grandchildren, Rachel (Jordan Gill), Emily (Daniel Topping), Michael, Jimmy and Nicole Raiford; and his niece Margaret Brannon Haney.
