It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Pierce of Thomasville, Georgia, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on November 15, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father William Roy Pierce; his former wife Mary Kennedy Pierce; and his siblings, Betty Pierce Cooper (W. T. "Dub" Cooper) and Carroll Roy Pierce (Sylvia). He is survived by: his wife Jean C. Pierce of Pavo, GA; his children, Ray Pierce (Deborah) of Coolidge, GA, Connie Mathes (George) of Thomasville, Scotty Pierce (Cassie) of Coolidge, GA and Patti Caulder of Thomasville; his stepdaughter Tammy Murphy (Vick) of Moultrie, GA; and his grandchildren, Sophie Garland, Mary Phipps (Jeff), Chrissie Henritze (Hunter), Will Pierce, Elizabeth Pierce (Paul Levine), Ely Mathes, Pierce Caulder, Lauren Caulder and Lee Pierce. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Masonic Children's Home or the Big Creek Cemetery Fund.
