He was predeceased by: his parents, Opie Hartsfield Gainey and James William Gainey. He is survived by: his wife Gale Grogan Gainey; his daughters, Amber Gainey Meade (Tim) of Los Angeles and Ginger Leigh Gainey; his grandsons, William Barrett Martin and Ashton Taylor Martin; and also, William Henry, Valerie Gainey Castanet (Emile) of Florida, Pamela Gainey Hilburn (Ron) of Texas, Jean Gainey Petrof of Canada and James Louis Gainey of Texas.
