He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Francis and Fairy Passauer Francis. He is survived by: his spouse Norma Beaman Francis; his children, Carol Myers of Thomasville, Hugh Francis (Cathy) of Alabaster and Doug Francis of Thomasville; his sister Carolyn Paugh of Jacksonville Beach; and his grandchildren, Sara Lovette, Lara Bunting, Allan Francis, Holly McCormick and Katherine Francis. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
