He was predeceased by: his parent Van Alvis; his sister Joann Pullen; and his brothers-in-law, Jack Dunham, C. E. Pullen and Dewitt Rehberg.

He is survived by: his wife Judy L. Rehberg; his daughter Angie (Bretley C. Williams); his grandchildren, Whitney Dawn Spivey (Brandon), Blake Cameron Williams (Malorie) and Lyndsey Victoria Bearden (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Kason Dean Spivey, Colton Vickers Spivey, Clayton Duncan Spivey, Briar Charles Williams, Flint Sawyer Bearden and Laken Ray Bearden; and his sisters, Anita J. Rehberg and Cheri D. Dunham.

He was an active member of Pineland Baptist Church and enjoyed driving the church bus to pick up children for church until Covid put a halt to this ministry and then his health declined, and he was no longer able to drive the bus.
