He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Lewis Hazelton Holden and Harriet E. Holden; his grandparents, George Newton Holden and Emma Hollander Holden; his parents, Lewis Hollander Holden and Frances Hazel Fallon Holden; his sons, Robert Lewis Holden and Edward James Holden; and his brother George Fallon "Tiny" Holden.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Curtin Holden of Florida; and his children, Debra Marie Connolly (Jim) of Florida, Gary Holden (Leslie) of Virginia and Lisa Nash (Darran) of Florida. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
