He is survived by: his children, Benjamin Wayne Forte of Thomasville, Andrew B. Forte (Amanda) of Thomasville and Amanda Forte Baggett (Jason) of Bonaire; his grandchildren, A. J. Forte, Autumn Baggett, Jacob Layne, Olivia Layne, Lila Forte, Jase Baggett and Joshua Layne; his siblings, Yvonne Forte Green (Charles) and Joseph Patrick Forte (Tina); his stepmother Sara B. Forte; his nephew Stewart White; and his nieces, Shana White and Heidi Boynton Butler (Brett).
