She was predeceased by: her parents, William Furron Lyon and Ora Edwards Lyon; her husband Virginia; her siblings, Pauline Lyon Henley and William Steven Lyon; and her son Marcus Eddie Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Nelson Caviness (Glenda), Sheryl Golden (Glenn) and Sheila Knapp (Taylor); her daughter-in-law Rita Boyette Smith; her grandchildren, Scott Chastain (Lindsay), Derek Chastain (Julie), Lindsay Milam (Mike), Kelley, Cody, Justin Knapp and Eddie Caviness; and her great grandchildren, Taylor Chastain, Grayson Chastain, Haley Chastain, Will Chastain, Reed Milam, Will Milam, Anna Wilder, Winnie Potts and Fitz Caviness.
