It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Cannon Burgess of Thomasville, Georgia, who passed away on February 12, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Devis Bynum Cannon (D. B. Cannon) and Nomie Scarborough Cannon; and her husband Ronald Burgess. She is survived by: her son Marcus Stacey Burgess of Thomasville; her brothers, Eugene Cannon of Pavo, GA and Calvin Cannon of Pavo, GA; her nieces, Tonia Rowell (Andy) of Thomasville and Kristi Bays (Chris) of Meigs, GA; and her nephew Christopher Cannon (Jamie) of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by 11 great-nieces and 5 great-nephews.
