He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Cox, and Juanita Cox, Sr.; his grandparents, Cecil Coley, Sam Cangialosi, Matthew Henderson and Mabel Cox; his brother Gregory Lamar Cox; his parents-in-law, Carl K. and Laura Ellen Pickett; his brother-in-law Steve Pickett, Sr.; and his son-in-law Charlie Vernon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carrie Cox of Thomasville and Sarah Cox of Blackshear; his adoptive children, Cassie Wilson of Alma and Juan Novoa of Alma; his grandchildren, Lexi Vernon (Zack) of Thomasville, Madi Tallent (Ashton) of Thomasville, Mason Tallent of Blackshear, Aubree Novoa of Alma and River Novoa of Alma; his siblings, Kevin Cox (Joanna) of Blackshear, Matt Cox (Shanna) of McDonough and Laura Shoemaker of Marietta; his grandmother Laura Cangialosi of Dallas; his sister-in-law Dianne Pickett of Byron; and his pets, Bella and Klaus. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a magnitude of friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Swamp Road Baptist Church (4490 Swamp Rd, Waycross, GA 31503).
