She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Godwin and Fannie Pollock Godwin Brinson; her stepparents, Armon Brinson, Sr. and Susie Bell Adams Godwin; and her brothers, Bill Brinson, Jerry Godwin and Bill Adams.
She is survived by: her husband Mack Arthur Halstead; her daughters, Karyl H. Lauder (Jack) and Cheryl H. Hay (Jim); her grandchildren, Bryce Lauder (Tara), Beau Hay and Jennifer Hay; her siblings, Armon Brinson (Phyllis), Ike Godwin (Bonnie), Ted Godwin (Rose), Mark Godwin (Sheila) and Betty Sue Godwin Jones; and her sisters-in-law, Danice Brinson, Joanne Godwin and Lynda Adams. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Following COVID 19 precautions, a viewing will be held on Friday October 23rd from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
