He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ward and Mary Grace Taylor Ward; his son John "Buddy" Ward Jr.; his grandson John Eugene; and his siblings, Robert Ward and Mary Frances Bracewell.
He is survived by: his son Jody Ward (Veronica) of Dothan, AL; his sisters, Darlene Davis (Travis) of Ochlocknee, GA and Rosalyn West of Pelham, GA; his grandchildren, John Austin of Huntsville, AL, Jacob Adam of Lexington, KY and Jodie Alexandria of Columbus, GA; and his pet Gracie.
