He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Smith and Lillie Mae Smith; his sister Alpha Mae Smith (Clarence); and his grandson Jeffrey Lamar Smith. He is survived by: his sister Juanita McDonald (late Jack) of Georgetown; his children, Tony Lamar Smith (Marie) of Macon, Lisa Marie McGee (Neil) of Cordele, Kevin Lamar Smith of Thomasville and Ernest Lamar Smith Jr. (Kaynneka) of Valdosta; and his great grandchildren, Joni Smith, Justin Smith, Eli Tawzer, Georgia, Aubrey, Liliana, Ernest "Trip" Smith, Kayland Smith and Peyton Westphall. He is also survived by His extended family included many whom he called brother, sister, cousin, sons, daughters, nieces and nephews.
