He is survived by: his wife Susan James Matthews; his siblings, Beverly Matthews McDonald of Thomasville, GA and Victor Matthews of Thomasville, GA.; his children, Stephanie Matthews Straub (Nathan) of Pensacola, FL, Sara Kathryn Matthews Tully (Greg) of Sykesville, MD, Monica Sue Homesley Harper (Gene) of Thomasville, GA, Timothy Paul Homesley (Nicole) of Coolidge, GA and Kimberly Ilene Homesley Anglin (Brian) of Boston, GA; and his grandchildren, Nora Kathryn Straub, Charlotte, Michael, Gabriel Tully, Sarah Marie, Simon, Isabelle Harper, Trey, Elizabeth, Erin Homesley, Corbitt, Briana and Zoie Anglin.
