She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Cletus Scales and Thomas Scales; her grandson Stephen Michael Stewart; her husband Charles Richard "Dicky" DeMott; her children, Rhonda Neal (Todd) of Nebraska, Beth Stewart (Keith) of Nashville and Richard DeMott (Cindy) of Leesburg; her grandchildren, Caitie Seaman (Nathan), Lauren Neal, Braden Stewart, Hannah Stewart, Bethany Stewart, Sarah Katherine Lum (Jordan), Dustin Walker (Sara) and Cara Brittain (Collin); her great grandchildren, Jonah Brittain and Eloise Walker; and her siblings, Willia Jean Burchett, Bobbie Howell, Jimmy Scales and Mac Scales.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Gideons International.
