He is survived by: his wife Brenda Joiner Arrington; his children, Thad Arrington (Michelle) of Fredericksburg, VA and Missy Godwin McElwee (Dave) of Albuquerque, NM; and his grandchildren, Kelly Giltner, Lillie Hostetter, Morgan Adkins, Maddie McElwee and Maura McElwee. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
