She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Strickland and Ethel Strickland; and her brothers, Vernon Strickland and Ralph Strickland. She is survived by: her husband Gene Sampson; her children, Dawn Sampson Stapp (Waymon) of Thomasville and Gene Sampson, Jr. of Thomasville; her granddaughter Sophi Sampson of Thomasville; and her caregivers, Miya and Anja. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dawson Street Baptist Church (1025 N Dawson St, Thomasville, GA 31792). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
