She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Rachels and Gussie Calena Gregory Rachels; her brothers, Willie Samuel Rachels, Howard Rachels, Charles Rachels and Billy Rachels; and her daughter Karen Tyler.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Haggadone of Pensacola, Ann Tyler of Thomasville, Lindie Howell of Ochlocknee and Ruth Register (Billy) of Tallahassee, Florida. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
