She was predeceased by: her parent Norton F. Whittle; her husband Alex L. Butler; her grandson Blake Butler; her mother Alline Whittle; and her siblings, Hazel Gertrude Whittle Alday, William Quinn Whittle, Otho Woodrow Whittle, Rev. Norton Felton Whittle, Alva McDonald Whittle, Herschel Keith Whittle, James Kennard Whittle and Winton Oziel Whittle.
She is survived by: her sons, A. Bruce Butler (Jo) and Kenneth F. Butler (Jami) of Thomasville; her grandchildren, Lauren E. Butler of Thomasville, Harrison C. Butler of Tallahassee, FL, Matthew D. Butler (Abigail) of Louisville, KY and Savannah G. L. Butler of Thomasville; her great grandchild Eleanor M. Butler of Louisville, KY; and her grandson Ian Mathew.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home (10451 US-84, Thomasville, GA 31757). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dawson Street Methodist Church (1025 N Dawson St, Thomasville, GA 31792).
