He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom G. Mathes and Chriso K. Mathes; and his sister Connie Maggitas. He is survived by: his nephews, Dennis Maggitas of Thomasville, Tommy Maggitas (Connie) of Thomasville and Johnny Maggitas of Thomasville; his niece Mary Maggitas of Thomasville; his siblings, George Mathes (Kathy) of Thomasville and Georgia Mathes Wainer (Max) of Alpharetta; his great-nephew Charles Maggitas of Thomasville; his great-niece Christina Maggitas of Thomasville; and his nephews, Alex Wainer of Decatur, Tommy Mathes (Maria) of Albany and Andy Mathes (Christanthi) of North Carolina.
